Portfolio: EG&G Defense Materials

Challenge
 EG&G Defense Materials was having significant problems with information distribution. They were amassing an incredible amount of information, but all this information was isolated within silos throughout the organization. Their productivity was low, cost of doing business was high and workers performed their jobs based on inaccurate, untrustworthy and out-of-date information.

Solution
 The first step of the solution was to develop a new Intranet that would serve as a framework for the integration and consolidation of these disparate information sources. Through the use of the .NET framework, data sources from around the organization were integrated into the new Intranet, providing a single source, dynamic and easy to use system for the publication and retrieval of mission critical data.
